My dog ate my knitting!

Found little Sammy pulling a strand through the laundry basket this morning!!

Oh well, it's not like the sweater was all that great...just a plain funnel neck from the Yarn Girls' Guide to Simple Knits...but it was my first successfully completed sweater. I had used Lion Brand Wool Ease Chunky in a nice burnt rust color, however I had bound off the neck a slight bit too tightly.

Thank goodness for unraveling!

...and now for something completely different!

Hi all, and welcome to my new blog! I'm very excited to start this, but I am new to blogging and may need to ask for a little patience out of anyone who may enter here. I hope to have a lot of fun sharing my adventures in knitting and any attempts at design!

I look to the left, I look to the right, and all I see is snow! We've had precious little here in Minnesota this winter, not enough to satisfy even the meekest snowbunny in the bunch. Kind of ironic because what's on the agenda for today? Swimsuit shopping, of course, and continuing to knit on the Wave Tank from the Spring 2007 Knit It!

The back is almost finished and it's looking really great. I'm using a cotton yarn variegated in dark pink, light pink, white and tan, thus eliminating the need to use two colors like in the magazine. It's my favorite kind of pattern...one that looks difficult but really is super easy and shows off any yarn very well.

The swimsuit? For my daughter to wear to a birthday party tonight. Going to venture out into the blizzard to get it done. Later fellas!
